Jiang Chen held a shaking hand out and said “Where are you standing son?” And the horrors of what had happened to him appeared on the faces on all the nearby people. “I am here, father” Jun Chen answered calm while he took the shaking hand and place on his head so his blind father could feel him. “What they did do to you?” Jun Chen calm voice was gone and anger had taken its place while tears ran down his check. “I will spare you all the details but we have to find a way to remove the pest from our grounds” Jiang Chen said as he check the face of Jun Chen for any injuries and a small smile appeared on his face when he knew that his son was whole. “What about the Ling Chang? Is the daughter of my most trusted general, is she still alive too” Jiang Chen said and Jun Chen did not answer but instead he took his father’s hand and moved it over to Ling Chang who gave Lei to a soldier to keep him standing while she allowed the hand to play her face. “Yes, my lord. I am alive as well and ready to serve you just as my father before” Ling Chang said as the hand started touching her and the smile of Jiang Chen grew even bigger. “I know the war is far from over but let us celebrate tonight” Jiang Chen yelled out in joy.
He turned around when a cold feeling started to fills body and he fell to the ground while he tried to remove the object which had started the cold and to his fear it was a sword. He cut his fingers on the sword, making him try to look up and tried to scream for help but his mouth ran fast full of blood as the sword keep going through his body and soon he felt the handle reaching his back and forced him to the ground. He gave up on getting a sight of the sun a last time and feel to the ground exhausted when a pair of feet suddenly appeared in front of him and with the last energy he managed to get his head up before the energy was out once more but instead of falling back to the ground instantly a pair of hands grab his head and a known taunt voice said “Now I only need to kill two more, old fool” Hui Wen looked at the person and even with blurred sight he knew who his killer was but his mouth was too full of blood and instead of yelling for help he spit the blood right in the face and said ice cold “You will never win” and just as the words had left his mouth the hands disappeared and he hit the ground hard before the sword from his back was gone too and the pain disappeared before he closed a last time. The killer clean the sword and face before lowly said “They would not know what hit them” and just as fast the attack had happen, the killer had left the screen.
They continued walking deeper into the town and soon they reach the walls surrounding the palace, they knew that Gang Chen was living inside but there was too many soldiers outside for them to just enter without revealing themselves so good ideas was needed. Ling Chang was the first to opened the mouth. “I am a girl so I can” More did she not managed to say before Jun Chen broke in and almost revealed them on his own. “No, we are not sending you inside the most dangerous place in this town… Am I right Hui Wen?” Hui Wen had been too focus on the guards patrolling nearby to listen to either Ling Chang or Jun Chen so his reply was completely random. “Yes, we need to find a way in… Maybe we can use Ling Chang?” He said as he turned around and looked at the others. Ling Chang was smiling and Jun Chen was already getting angry but he managed to stay calm “Not saying that you are an old foul but did you even hear what we was talking about?” Jun Chen asked and looked at Hui Wen who tried to hide that he had not but still replied “No matter if I have heard it or not, we need to get someone on the other side of those walls so we can save Jiang Chen and if the only way is to send in Ling Chang then we most or do you not want to save your father anymore?” Jun Chen looked at him and to a deep breath before trying to stay calm while answering. “Right, if you say so but we don’t even know if he is in there” Ling Chang wanted to reply that but Hui Wen replied first. “That is a good reason why we only send Ling Chang inside as if we reveal ourselves in attempt to find him, we will have an entire army on our backs and then we don’t have many places to go” Jun Chen looked at him and then at Ling Chang who was closed to burst of joy that Hui Wen would send her on such an important mission. “Fine” Jun Chen said before turning against Ling Chang “But be careful” he said while looking directly into her eyes. Jun Chen just smiled and replied “Of course, but I need some privacy to get ready as I do not look very girly this way” and pointed at her cloches which was mostly traveling clothes.
Ling Chang opened her heavy eyes and felt the warmth in her body. The first thing she noticed was that the snow was gone again and she were her savour was gone too, leaving her all alone. Suddenly the shadow appear again and divides, making Ling Chang fear the worst and she tries to stand up but has to bite her teeth hard together of pain.Continue reading
