Chapter 12 – Certain death – Part 4

The happiness in the voice was not mistaken and soon the men around them started yelling of joy too and it spread out thought the town like a wind. In the middle of it all stood Jun Chen in silence, not because he was not happy like his father but still his mind wondered what they was celebrating. He looked at Ling Chang who had noticed his silence and had turned silence herself but before they could say anything to each other the men around them noticed their silence and just as quick as the joy had spread a silence followed living Jiang Chen, the only one yelling for a while before he also turned quiet. “What is wrong? Did I do something bad?” Jiang Chen said as his hands tried to find his son again and when he reach Jun Chen opened his mouth gentle, making sure that he did not hurt his father. “Sorry father, I am happy but I am also sad as I am not sure what we are celebrating as we have lost many good men and the war is far from over” Jun Chen managed to say before Jiang Chen fingers made him quiet and close his mouth. “You are right, you are right my son… the war is far from over but you and Ling Chang still stand strong like pillars caring the whole world and I may be blind but my other senses tells me about your love” Ling Chang and Jun Chen looked confused at each other but kept silence as Jiang Chen continue “Yes, you love each other so much that even a blind man can see it, so the party tonight is not only to celebrate the death but to celebrate the living and love too so before more death happens let me weed you tonight.” Ling Chang was both happy and sad on the same time as she had lost everyone in her family but with the help of Jun Chen and emperor Jiang Chen, she would now have a new family. Ling Chang tried to find the words but instead she felt Jun Chen hand taken hers and they looked at each other for a while as Jiang Chen hand also reach them. In one thought and movement they held the hands up in the sky and without any words from them the joy and happiness returned in the town as the people started yelling once more.

Chapter 11 – Rescue – Part 4

Ling Chang could feel the rage in her body suddenly disappeared and soon the red glow from her eyes disappeared too. In one movement she was fighting and in the next she had closed her eyes as she started to screaming loud in a mix of pain and horror when suddenly a silence followed. Ling Chang opened her eyes to figure out why the silence and noticed that no one was moving like they all had turned to ice. She walked around between the men slowly and watched one bloody fight after another before she quickly moved and reached the fight Ling Chang was fighting. “Please wake up” she almost silence said as she worried that the voice would destroy him but nothing happened to him or any of the soldiers. She looked around and even Gang Chen on the farthest away she could see were frozen except for her and the mix of being alone and the horrors of what she had done, made tears starting to run down her checks. She was all out in tears, not paying attention to her surroundings at all when suddenly a cold hand touched her and she almost flew up with the sword pulled and ready to fight but quickly removed it when she noticed it was Jun Chen who had returned to life. “What happened?” Jun Chen asked as they hugged and warmed each other up. Ling Chang looked at him but had troubles finding the words but managed to say a single word “Sorry”, making Jun Chen quickly hold her closer and reply “It is not your fault” and just as the words had left his mouth another know voice replied “You are right, I am the one, making this” a floating Hui Wen said which at first made Ling Chang want to scream but his calm voice made her keep quiet. “I just want to say that I am so proud of you two” Hui Wen continued and Jun Chen wanted to say something but Hui Wen stopped him “No talking, just yet. I am also happy that you have found each other both in training and in love and yes, I knew all the time so next time, don’t try to hide it” Hui Wen body became more and more transparent for each word leaving his mouth. “You have my blessing and now go with peace” Hui Wen said and as the last word left his mouth he was gone and before Ling Chang and Jun Chen could do nothing, they were suddenly back at their places fighting like nothing had happened. Ling Chang Looked around to find Hui Wen and found him laying in the mud, bleeding from his back surrounded by four enemy soldiers and she knew what she had to do. She started to fight her way against the body and just as she reach the body, Jun Chen was there too. They killed the soldiers around his body like they was wheat on a field and they started to stop the bleedings as Lei appeared with some men and started yelling out commands. “Men, form a circle around us and keep the line to split up the enemy” He yelled and the nearby men quickly started to doing what they were told. Lei turned against Jun Chen and Ling Chang as he wanted to say something but Gang Chen broke in “One old foul death and buried, and four left, this is becoming the best day in my life” he said mocking and laughing making Jun Chen prompted yelled back “He is not death yet” which just made Gang Chen laugh even louder and more mocking. “Who said that I was talking about Hui Wen?” He said as he held a small break from laughing and pointed at Jiang Chen who appeared normal at first before blood appeared on his throat and when he tried to screaming his mouth filled with blood as he fell to the ground as a doll. Jun Chen could feel the sadness grow inside him but instead of giving Gang Chen the pleasure, he just yelled back “You will pay for every death, you will cost today” and Jun Chen was about to run off from Hui Wen and Ling Chang when a hand stopped him. “Let go of me, Ling Chang” Jun Chen almost yelled without turning around but the hand did not let go and Jun Chen turned around to force the hand to let go when he noticed that it was Hui Wen. “I am sorry my boy, but cannot let you go before you promise me you won’t let the rage inside you, control you” Jun Chen wanted to yell but a calmness filled his body faster and without any words Hui Wen released and Jun Chen was free once more. Ling Chang smiled to see that Hui Wen was alive but the happiness was short as in the next he closed his eyes and stopped breathing.

Chapter 10 – Execution – Part 4

Ling Chang took forward her backpack and walked around a house to hide herself for the men and quickly she returned far more female than before, making Jun Chen losing his jaw before focusing himself on the mission. “Now I am ready” Ling Chang said while blossom a bit at the sight of Jun Chen’s reaction “You look good” Jun Chen managed to say before Hui Wen broke in. “Yes, you do, but you have to focus on the mission now… You go inside a look around to figure out where the emperor is before return here ALIVE” His looked very serious and Ling Chang tried to smile before nodding and started to run against the gate to the palace. Jun Chen and Hui Wen followed behind while staying hidden to prevent Ling Chang’s cover from being blown. “Were have all that beauty been while we have been here” It flew out of Jun Chen’s mouth as they watched her getting closer to the guard. Hui Wen looked at Jun Chen before returning his focus at Ling Chang “I do not know, but for now we need to be ready at the slightest indication of things going wrong” but just as the words left his mouth, the guard had allowed Ling Chang to enter before closing the gate behind her.

Chapter 9 – Nightmares – Part 4

The joy of seeing Jun Chen again made her heart beat faster and the voices started to disappear and soon they were gone, giving her a chance to fight back against the old people. A scream was heard and it was not inside her head, making Ling Chang smile for the first time since she started dreaming and soon it was just her and Jun Chen while the two old people lied death on the grass which slowly turned into snow once more. “Are you sure we did the right thing?” Ling Chang asked Jun Chen when she finally reached him. “What do you mean?” He asked while looking weird at her. “I mean they were the ones controlling this world and now it is slowly turning into a cold hell, once more” Ling Chang replied and she could see instantly that Jun Chen didn’t know about the snow. “What snow? I killed them because they kept hurting you with those voices and who knows what they would have done if they had reached the sword before I did… Sorry if I have doomed us” Ling Chang was glad to be save so she just smiled some more and replied “I do not mind the snow as long you are here, even I have no idea where, here is” and Jun Chen just nodded. The snow came closer and closer and Ling Chang moved closer to Jun Chen in attempt to keep the warmth between them but suddenly a water dragon sculpture landing between them just as the first snow flake hit Ling Chang and the entire world changed. in the next they were underwater, doing a major storm. “Jun Chen?” Ling Chang yelled as she finally reached the surface but not reply and the storm was getting wilder and wilder. Suddenly she felt something at her legs and she tried to scream as she was scared it were the old people from earlier or something similar but it was something else that broke the surface. Jun Chen  tried to take some deep breaths but Ling Chang was completed be beside herself and started screaming and hit him until he finally managed to speak “Stop, stop it is me, Jun Chen… Calm down” Ling Chang stopped felt her face turning red as she were blushing.

Chapter 8 – Letters from home – Part 4 – New

“I THOUGHT YOU WAS A GRAND MASTER, AND NOT A CHICKEN” Jun Chen yelled at Hui Wen who quickly replied without much thought. “I AM ONLY ONE HUMAN AND I CARE ABOUT YOU AND LING CHANG” He yelled back without thinking much about the words as they flew out of his mouth but Jun Chen lost his voice and almost silence said “Ling Chang?” As their argument and yelling had made him forgot all about her and they were even standing in front of her door, not minding her sleep or anything at all.
