In the meantime back at the fight between Jun Chen and Gang Chen, there was still no blood in sight but Gang Chen had noticed the fight between his man and Ling Chang and wondered if he could use it for something. “Your girlfriend is a fighter too” Gang Chen yelled to Jun Chen who turned his sight away from the fight just as gang Chen expected. “Yeah she is good” Jun Chen replied while watching her movements against the man without thinking that he was still in a fight. He felt a pain starting in his left shoulder and the pain reawaken him to his own fight. “You are a cheater” Jun Chen yelled as he forced Gang Chen’s sword away who was laughing too much to keep pushing. “I did not do anything, it was all your own fault” Gang Chen finally said as they were watching each other again. Jun Chen was tried off his laughter so he attacked without thinking much of his new injury and the attack had such power that Gang Chen had to stop laughing and block the attack but still his own sword made him get a small cut on his right arm. “Well, well, well. Now we are both are bleeding” Gang Chen said and pushed Jun Chen with his free hand before attacking on his own but Jun Chen was more ready this time and they started to take turns in attacking and defending without any more blood. Suddenly Gang Chen yelled “Sword” and a sword flew thought the air and Jun Chen managed just to step away from it but instead Gang Chen just caught it and was now having two swords making it harder for Jun Chen to defend himself but he was far from done anyway.
Jun Chen felt a warm breeze playing his body before a pain in his head made him move to his to examine the injury. “What happened Hui Wen?” He said while he continued to search for the point of the pain but instead of finding it the pain disappeared. He was about to yell of Hui Wen for not answering when his noise picked up the scent of tea and not any tea but his father’s favourite tea full of Jasmin. He opened his eyes and noticed that he was no longer in the burning town but inside the garden of his father’s palace and his home. “You are finally awake” a voice said, making Jun Chen turn around searching for the owner of the voice but at first there was no one to be seen when suddenly he noticed a man in the shadows of the buildings. “Who are you and where am I?” Jun Chen asked while his hands started to search for his sword. He found it and pulled it out before quickly raising it above his head. Laughter filled the air before the voice continued “Are you really going to defend yourself with that?” Before the laughter returned but Jun Chen was in no mood of being teased so he yelled back “Answer me or… or…?” “Or what?” The voice said and Jun Chen started to charge against the shadow but stopped quickly as the sword suddenly became lighter and lighter. He placed it in front of himself for a moment and watched with big eyes as it turned into fireflies which each flew away one by one until the sword was completely gone. “I will beat you anyway” Jun Chen yelled as he returned to normal as the last firefly flew away. The man behind the voice stood up and walked out into the sun without a word and Jun Chen feelings of anger and hate turns at once into sadness and joy as the man is his father Jiang Chen. “F…ather?” Jun Chen managed to say as the man comes closer and hugs him. “I cannot answer that” the man says before continuing “I wish I could but you need to relax” Jun Chen accepts the hug but the confusion of not knowing where he is and who the man is troubles his mind. “Am I safe?” Jun Chen ask as the man lets go on him and starts walked over to a small fireplace. “Yes, nothing can hurt you here but please clear your mind and join me for a cup of tea” The man says. Jun Chen can feel his body is conflicted but his feet cares him to the fireplace and his hand accepts the tea from the stranger. Without a word he takes a snip of the tea and it is just as the time before he meet Ling Chang, or the attack on the palace for that matter. “Where am I?” Jun Chen finally asked breaks the silence. “Does it matter” the man answered a bit dry like he were annoyed that it was so important to Jun Chen. Jun Chen could feel that he had to eat his words and just enjoy the time there but he had to know, the dream or nightmare he and Ling Chang had experience with the elements together less than a day ago started to hunt him. “I am sorry father, I am glad to see you well but I need to know where and why I am here as last time I was dreaming I had to fight for my life against someone I love.” His voice was both calm and angry on the same time. The man took a big sip of his tea and closed his eyes before answering “I am not alive nor am I a dream but I am here to help you relax as what happens now is neither the past or the future” Jun Chen looked confused on the man and took a sip of the tea too before he gave in to the relaxing and closed his eyes just as the man. A silence between them started to grow and only birds in the nearby tree and their breathing was heard while the sun slowly disappeared for the sky. When Jun Chen finally opened his eyes again the day had gone and a beautiful night full of stars had appeared. The man was still seating in front of Jun Chen with his eyes closed and for some reason the fireplace had not died either. Suddenly the man said with a cold voice “I am sorry for what I do next, but you need to be ready for the events which are waiting for you back home” and at first Jun Chen looked confused at the man but soon a group of fireflies landed in his hand. He looked at becoming more and more before looking at the man who suddenly was standing behind the fire with a sword in his hands. “I am sorry” The man said and started to swing the sword though the fire against Jun Chen who had frozen into ice. The sword came close to Jun Chen’s neck and in the last second something blocked the attack. Jun Chen woke up with a set from hit and noticed that the fireflies had turned into his sword once more and in reflex he had blocked the attack. “Good block, my boy but you need to be better to be able to defeat me and the future quests of your life” The man said and lunched another attack without giving Jun Chen any chance of questioning what was happening. Jun Chen made a quick movement and rolled away from the fire and second attack before he finally had a chance to stand up.
As it became evening, a long shadow appeared at the mason door and it were Hui Wen who had finally returned form the blacksmith with the new sword for Jun Chen and some food for dinner. “Sorry I was away for so long” he said when he entered the mason and Lie just looked at him with a bit tired eyes as he had been making the sculpture the entire day. “Were is Ling Chang?” Hui Wen asked while looking around for her before looking straight at Lei as a bad feeling started to grow inside him. “Relax, old fool” Lei said with a laughing voice and pointed out the window which made Hui Wen eyes follow. Outside the window in the garden were Ling Chang walking around like he had only been away for a few minutes. “She have been in some kind of dream world since you left us” Lie laughed and Hui Wen could not stop himself from laughing either. “Does that mean she did not get her sculpture done” Hui Wen voice changed to serious as he fear what the night would bring if she did not have it one more night.. Lei started laughing loudly and even more wildly than before while he tried to speak and point at the dragon sculpture right in front of Hui wen who had been so focus on Ling Chang that he did not notice it.
Jun Chen attacked the soldier holding Ling Chang down which had to release her to able to defend himself against the attack while Hui Wen started to fight some of the other soldiers who also started attacking them. Ling Chang ran inside the house to get to cover but an arrow flew thought her hair and brushed her left ear, making the rage from the other fights return and with a quick movement she grasped her sword and return to the fight heading directly an the shooter who did not have a chance of defending himself. “Ahhh” he screamed loudly and flew to the ground. Hui Wen killed the next one but he was a skilled fighter so the soldier did not even scream as he were cut down from the back. “Kill the horses, so they cannot escape” a soldier yelled before Jun Chen cut him down in one strike but it was too late, two other soldiers threw some of the fire at the house which quickly started burning fast, making it impossible to save the horses. Ling Chang started laughing in front of the fire which scared both friends and foes, making the two soldiers who started the fire attack her at one time but she just looked at them with diabolic eyes and cut them down with one swing. “Kill them all” Hui Wen yelled to Jun Chang who just nodded before continuing the fight. Suddenly an explosion came from the house and Ling Chang’s family medallion flew thought the air and hit Ling Chang in the back of the head with such force she fell to the ground and before she had a chance to get back up her rage disappear and some nearby soldiers took the chance to capture her and started to carry her away while the medallion and sword stayed behind. Jun Chen was the first to notice what had happen after the explosion and his loss of focus made the nearby soldier cut him just above the elbow on his sword using hand, making him drop it and the soldier tried to capture him too but Hui Wen was already at the screen and killed the soldier “Focus, you have much to learn about fighting but now I want you to rescue Ling Chang before they get too far away” a bit angry Hui Wen said before handing him the sword. Jun Chen did not need many seconds to rest or think before he ran after Ling Chang and cut down the two soldiers just as Hui Wen cut the last remaining soldier. Jun Chen and Ling Chang looked at the mess they had made before Hui Wen voice cut thought their vacant stare “Get the sword and medallion if you still want them, Ling Chang… we leave at once” The command awoke Ling Chang and she ran over to the medallion and took it around her neck before picking up the sword. “Lets go” she said but Hui Wen moved at finger up to his mouth sending the signal for them to be silence before pointing at the dead soldiers. Ling Chang knew he wanted silence but did not understand the last part before Jun Chen forced his sword down inside the back of death soldier. Hui Wen wanted them to be sure that they were not leaving anyone with knowledge about their trip. Ling Chang started to walk around looking at the death soldiers but each of them looked death to her until she reach the last one. The man was bleeding from the mouth giving him no chance of screaming but there was still a chance for him to survive so she raised her sword like she had seen Jun Chen do and started to press down against the soldier but froze right at the edge of his belly. “Do it” Hui Wen signalled her but tears started to appear in her eyes instead as she could not make herself do anything without her rage. Jun Chen walked up and soon he were was next to her before he made his hands cover her hands. Without a word he started to push down the sword and the soldier did a few movements before laying perfectly still and Jun Chen pulled the sword out of him again which made Ling Chang brake the silence “We are not the bad guys, why are we doing things like this if we are not the bad guys” she yelled and scared the birds nearby away. Jun Chen did not say a word but just walked away from her while Hui Wen walked closer to them and with a surprisingly calm voice replied “You are right, my child. We are not the bad guys but if a single one of those men have heard out talk about were we are going, we are going to be in big trouble and then it does not matter much if we somehow gets to Funanai alive” Ling Chang looked down but the soldiers death face made her try to look on the grass but the blood had already change its colour, making her feel nausea.
Hui Wen was the first to be next to her “Sorry my child,I did not meant to hurt you in anyway” he said with sadness in his voice before he left her up gentle while the bandages turned more and more red. They reach the bed and a servant come running with new bandages, making the three men and the guard leave the room for her to have some privacy. Outside they started discuss their new knowledge and emperor Jiang Chen was the first to start “I thought it was your job to kill my brother so we would have peace in the country” he snapped at Hui Wen who was wise to return the words with kindness “I am sorry I have failed you my lord but I have search entire countries the past 20 years searching for him and beside he is the least of our concerns now” he replied. Jun Chen wanted to say something too but emperor Jiang Chen came first and snapped again “I know but still he killed my beautiful wife after you almost caught him doing the escape after my father’s death and now I don’t have the pleasure of killing myself” this time Hui Wen was less kind and snapped back “I know, but look at this” he pulled up and showed a scar from the fight he had gotten the day many years ago. “I know I failed you back then and I might have failed you again but I did my best my lord and more importantly you are my friend” He continued while a single tear ran down left his cheek. Emperor Jiang Chen closed his eyes for a moment and returned to his calmness before the discussion. “Sorry my friend, I just lost a good man today to my brother and I cannot do anything about it because his own kids killed him, so let focus on them” Hui Wen nodded but Jun Chen was exploding instead “Why were you lying to me, father?” He almost yelled of Jiang Chen who for a moment looked confused before his face change back and replied “Now is not the time to discuss that” he tried with a mix of firm and sweet voice but Jun Chen was almost red as blood and snapped back “I asked you, why father?” Jiang Chen stood for a moment before he took a deep breath and started “I…” he managed to say before he started crying and continued in the most soft voice all evening “I wanted you to protect you from the tragedy that hurt me so much, I am so sorry my child, please forgive me” Jun Chen looked at his father and the crying returned him to his calmness and tears started running down his cheeks too. “Sorry father, I could not handle it in my head” he said almost voiceless.
